Shad seat DL1000

Early this spring I bought a Shad seat from RichlandRick of AdventureTech. I like it. I have not posted sooner due to knee surgery, daughter's wedding, etc.. Seat height is about the same as oem, but after 2 hours I am not thinking about my butt. I think the seat cover is not as thick as the original, but width and support is better. I am 6 foot, 230 lbs, and barely 31 inch inseam.

I'm also using a Shad seat on the DL1000A. A definite improvement over the stock seat. Longest day on it has been a little over 10 hours actual saddle time and about 500 miles. (I'm 5'10", 180 lb)

Fit, finish and look are excellent. It does not come with mounting hardware. You have to take it off the old seat and install on the new. (Very simple - only 2 nuts to remove and reinstall.)
richlandrick and John David like this.

2015 DL1000
2012 BMW K1600GTL
2009 DL650 (Sold)
2009 Yamaha V-Star XVS950 (Sold)
All with the required enhancements.
