Painted Windscreen.

Buggered my OEM windscreen by using the wrong cleaner on it and further :|:|:|:|ed it royally by trying to sand/polish it clear.
So, thought I'd try a Nation Cycle touring screen and found it created a wind buffeting that I never even had before. I think the lip curving at the top of the OEM is what it's all about with wind deflection and the NC didnt have that. Sent it back.
Have to admit I was never really bothered by wind or rain with the OEM even after a trip to Alaska and back.
So I am going to paint it. Either the Camo or black. Will post pic when done.
Worst off it gets replaced.
I'm also into clean looks and those add on types, to me, just make the Woodpecker head look more like a Triceratops. Not my cup o tea.

You are welcome to my old OEM shield. I replaced it soon after buying the bike. It has a few marks on it from a tarp when I was bringing the bike home, but you only notice those up close.

Next time you come to Vancouver send me a PM.

I'm curious if you tried Meguiar windscreen polish? That usually takes care of my windscreen scratches.

Garage
There is a sticky thread for all things windscreen.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
