Hot Seat?

Well I've had the bike for about a month now and am enjoying it so far. One thing I'm wondering if is normal on this model or specific to my bike; do your seats get hot? I don't know, maybe it's just me but it seems my seat gets really warm. Nice in cold weather but not nice when the temp rises. Maybe how the Airstream windsheild creats a low pressure zone and it draws engine heat up?
Ok, so when your done laughing, any thoughts?

I have a stock screen and seat and my seat doesn't get warmed by the engine at all. It would be nice to have in winter tho, to go with the heated grips.

I know. My wife's bike has a Rich's custom seat with a heater! But she can turn hers off......

I've had mine for a few months now and haven't noticed the seat getting hot. Last weekend, when it was 100+ degrees, I noticed some heat on my legs but the seat was fine aside from heating up from the sun.

My seat tends to get a little hot if I've had Mexican or Indian food… otherwise it's all good. :flaming_devil:

Try opening your legs a bit while riding, the extra wind feels great

The only hot seats I know about that aren't powered for heat are seats with gel inserts in warmer climates...they can get too hot to sit on...not a good choice!

Thanks for the replys.
Nope, not cotton shorts.
Yep, get the heat on legs too, but this seems more on the seat.
Yep, stick a leg out, stand up, sit back a bit on the rise for the passenger.......
Stock seat, so no gel insert.
Mexican food? LOL - not on long rides and staying in a tent!

Ridden my bike up to 2 hours in the 90's without a hot seat. Normally, I keep the seat covered with a light covered towel while parked. It doesn't sound like you are talking about a seat heated by the sun though.
