oil leak

hello, i am new in the site, i have a 2014 v strom 1000 . my trouble is a oil leak in the left side of the engine, somebody can tell me how to fix it.

It appears the wire bundle from the stator isn't properly sealed. Was that cover ever off? The best fix would be to remove that cover, clean all the oil away, and add silicone seal around the rubber block and to where the colored wires are exposed. The wire cover has been torn away from the block. You should not be able to see the wires. It's likely the cover will need a new gasket too. I've seen that on other models with aftermarket stators but I've never seen a report on a Vee2 stator problem that would have needed to happen if there was a stator replacement.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
