Touratech Tank Bag mounting??

Hey there....does anyone out there have a Touratech Tank Bay for the Vee2? I can not for the life of me figure where to attach the straps to the frame, based on the instructions.

http://www.touratech-usa.com/media/W...391-5800-0.pdf

Maybe it doesn't matter so long as it doesn't impede the bars, or move with the bars and triple clamp...but the straps aren't that long. Does anyone have this bag?

Thanks in advance.

L.

Hard to tell from the picture but it looks like that long strap goes down under the left side of some part of the frame and comes back up to the loop and gets the excess trimmed.
Is there part of the frame that connects to the triple clamp area where you can go under it and back up? I don't know the DL1000.

That is what it looks like, except that it comes with 2 straps and 2 male/female clips. so I assume they are both meant to mount somewhere. but I agree, that IS what the picture suggests.

I must have studied that for 5 minutes. I think they want you to put those circle things (pads?) all the way out to the edges of whatever that shape is that they stick(?) to.
In other words, no space between them and the edge.

Well, my Wolfman tank bag came with 2 straps for the front with clips and the straps were designed with a loop at one end so that you can put the strap around something underneath and put it through the loop and back up to clip on each side of the front of the bag.
On my Wee, I used these pieces of metal that go outward from the frame towards the lower side of the gas tank.
See the link and the photos for the Wolfman install of the straps.

Same here. There is a second PDF file that has 'one' more detail. You'll find it here Tank bag Ambato Exp for the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 - Tank bags - Luggage - Vehicle equipment | Touratech AG

I have same setup with my wolfman bag. I slipped the straps thru the loop ends making it one. Then ran strap below tank area...behind handle bar.
OR.... you loop around a bar that sports the fairing
