Race Tech

My natural boyish figure of 250lbs + gear has me in search of new springs for my 2014. I called Race Tech today and was told that they will not have shock springs because it is not rebuildable. Of course they have springs for my 06 Wee and that shock was not rebuildable, but she did not want to talk about it.

Now they do carry springs for the 2015/16. Are those shocks rebuildable and are the the springs the same as the 2014?

Hyperpro would be my next stop but their online catalog dose not show the 2014.

I was curious to see if part numbers were different, so I looked up OEM parts on two sites (my local dealer and BikeBandit).

The DL1000 shock assembly (part number 13 on the Rear Cushion Lever diagram) is NOT listed for either the 2014 or 2015.

In Aus the rear shock (ref no 13) has the same part number for 2014 and 15. - 62100-31JA0-YKS ($1042.65).

Check a local motorcycle suspension shop. They may be able to order a spring that fits, and they can do the work.

You might contact Rich Desmond at Sonic Springs (he's a strom rider) and ask if he has front springs for your DL1000A. He also might have info about a spring for the shock.

Hypro do front and rear springs for the 14 vee2. I have the rear spring on my 14 vee. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed, I was hoping for more support for two up riding, yes it's better but only just

That is good to know. Part number for the 14' and 15' are the same so I think I will contact a local Race Tech dealer in Escondido and order a spring for the 15'.

I have sent Rick at Sonic an email and hopefully he has something to offer.
