Rear Rack Warranty

How bad does the rear rack paint need to br damaged to have it replaces under warranty?

The edges of the handles are black where the paint has rubbed off.

We've been through this before. Do a search. I don't recall weather those that were replaced were from a warranty or recall. My dealer replaced mine with no questions asked.

It's warranty and Suzuki has a new part number for this issue.

If the paint on your rack is flat silver, then you can get it swapped out, if yours is shiny then I think likely Suzuki will just tell you its a wear issue, but it doesn't hurt to ask. The replacement rack has clear coat on top.

I wouldn't count on a recall for a simple cosmetic issue. I took the opportunity to paint mine satin black with a good quality spray. I'm sure if you kick it, it will still scuff. To help that you could probably sand the silver off the more exposed areas until it was black, then a scratch wouldn't show as much.

I would say to take some spray on bed liner and be done with it.

My dealer wasn't aware of the rack issue but when I told him he contacted Suzuki. They replaced it without any issue being made.
