Powerlet Install

I am going to install a power let on the left side plastic just above knee level for a plug-in for my vest. Should I run the wiring directly to the battery?

Yes. Exactly how the instructions say to. That's what I did and it works perfectly.

I wired mine into a fuse block so it goes off with the key, but you could go straight to battery as long as it's fused.

It is safe since there is no way you can leave the bike with the heated gear still activated and the engine off, just watch you don't stop to talk to someone for half an hour or something.

Would you happen to know what size fuze would be correct for the single power source for a vest?

I believe I have a 15a on it and it hasn't blown yet, but I rarely run the vest at max temps as it is too hot.
