No. You still have throttle cables.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

i test rode a yamaha fz07 which includes fly-by-wire. i didn't like it. takes a moment to respond. i didn't want to buy a bike and hope i'd "get used to" it.

iirc, yamaha is still having some trouble with the fz09 throttle, but they managed to fix it on the fj09. go figure.

don't die wondering.

I have a MT09 (FZ09) and a Kevtx 02 sensor kit improves the throttle response heaps, it is not as snappy so the issue is in the fuel map, the other issue is the amount of torque the bike has right off idle.

I have sent a PM to Kevtx to see if there anything he can do for my V2.

Two wires. One pulls the throttle open, and the other pulls it shut.

Oh...you mean an electronic throttle. Nope, doesn't have that.
