I got a good deal on the Suzuki chin spoiler and thought I'd put off a real bash plate until after I do other mods. This is mostly a cosmetic mod, I am sure it will keep gravel & small debris away from the oil filter etc. but don't expect too much protection. That said I'm very happy with the results.
I thought I'd post a quick walk through of the process. I bought the chin spoiler from a guy who upgraded to a real bash plate. There were no instructions of course; that is part of the reason for this post. It took me about an hour, but honestly at least 30 minutes was fighting to get the three pieces attached together. The side with the three tabs was a challenge. I'm pretty happy with the results, I think it cleans up the front of the bike.
You will need a phillips screwdriver, a 4mm allen, a 8mm socket, extension and ratchet.
Install the left side brackets
Install the right side brackets
put the three spoiler pieces together then bolt them to the brackets; you are done.
