I'm sure there is already a thread on this question here but I could not find it, please send me the link if possible.
If not I'd appreciate your insights.
I'm looking to replace my '09 Wee with a more powerful/comfortable adventure/tourer and my sights we set on the improved V2. But then for about the same price I saw the improved Tiger 800 was available.
I rented a 2013 tiger for the day last March in Vegas and put about 500 miles on it through Oatman and the Mohave dessert etc.
The bike seemed to be a bit more maneuverable than the Wee and WOW did that engine impress, and they've made improvements for the 2015 model year.
The bike will be used about 80/20 pavement/fire roads.
When I do my multi day rides I typically ride 5-600 miles/day and spend 12-14 hrs on the bike so I like comfort and canyon carving with some throttle twisting fun.
I've looked for comparison reviews of both bikes on Google but there are very few. There is one on you tube but the language is Italian I think
Reliability is a concern for me as I live in a town with a Suzuki dealer and no triumph support, but I would not take my bike to the Suzuki dealer as they are hacks and I have not found a reliable bike mechanic, and I'm not good with any thing more than oil changes.
The local Zuk dealer does not allow test rides.
The bikes seem similar for fuel economy, with the V2 having .3 of a gallon more, not a big deal for me.
I like that the Tiger is about 25lbs lighter.
I'm 5'9" with a 32" inseam.
So if anyone has some real world advice to help me decide I'd be very appreciative!
