Any reports of catastrophic engine or transmission failure?

Probably still too early in the model's service life but any reports of catastrophic engine or transmission failure?

Just curious...

I did extensive research on this model before purchasing in March of this year, and I couldn't find any reports of anybody having anything other than the typical Idle Hammer or Clutch Chudder, which don't seem to be an actual problem. I have the IH, but not the CC. Other than that they seem to be solid bikes!

One of the major advantages of the Strom is time proven. It's been improved and upgraded over the years, but has always been rock solid.

I believe Janice had her transmission go a couple of years ago, but she likes to do a lot of wheelies and rides it very hard. She swapped out her engine/transmission for a grand and was back again. She rides an older DL1000.

I've heard of a couple engine grenades on Stroms, but they're rare and NO motorcycle or car engine is immune to the occasional failure. None.

Never met a dog I didn't like, a machine I couldn't break, or a woman I couldn't tick off.
