new 1000 vs 2012+ 650 ride?

For those of you that had a "newer" 650 and now own the new 1000 I would appreciate your insight(s) regarding the difference(s) in how the bike rides and handles compared to your old...650.

I said this on another thread, but I will say it again.
The new V-Strom 1000 is leaps & bounds ahead of any other V-Strom, 650 or 1000.

Still own a 2012 650, but plan on a new 1000 soon. But I did get the chance to take the 1000 out for a nice long test ride, and it's everything I expected.

Ride and handling is awesome, it feels very well balanced, and is no bigger than my current 650.

On the test ride my brother followed on his 650, so we had some direct side-by-side comparisons. When we made our way back to the shop and swapped bikes, it was hard to get back on the 650
