Metal or plastic valve stems?

I'm shopping for a new gps with tire pressure monitor. Can someone tell me if the valve stems of the Vee2 are in plastic or in metal?
Thanks a lot

How about Rubber!

Hey, the valve stems are rubber not plastic and of course have the brass Schrader stems. So to answer your question they are rubber and metal. Not sure if that helps. You can also get 90 degree all metal valve stems which makes checking air pressure much easier!

Thanks for the reply. My guess is that it would not work as I think it needs to be all metal. But I'm not 100% sure...

Always use metal with a TPMS.... rubber will fail.

I have been using rubber stems with my Tyredog TPMS on my car and bike for many years, I have never had one fail, just ensure the fit new stems each time you have new tyres fitted.
