Heated Grips

So, I understand there are pre-wired keyed hot factory wire connectors to hook up the "Suzuki" heated grips. I haven't bought the very reasonably priced factory heated grips ($310 - HA!), bit I'd like to find those connectors.

Anyone know if this is true and where they're at??

Oxfords are great. The factory connector used to be behind the radiator, IIRC.

I had the Oxfords installed on the Vee2. Riding at near 0 degrees Celsius, fingers are warm without the hand guards in place - still waiting for the SE part to arrive

I installed heated grips from Cycle Gear and the factory connector was neatly and tightly tucked behind the radiator. If you don't want to splice into the connector you can purchase a wire, horn, lead and connect that way.

Reference this article as it has all the info you need.

The stock bikes have a connector, but no switch.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Was yours a 2014? I know the pre-2014 models had wiring behind the radiator waiting to be used.
