Cooling fans

For you lucky ones that are out running around on your new bikes, I have a question about the cooling fan(s). Are there 1 or 2 of them and can you hear them when they switch on? I had a kawasaki concours 14, the fans were loud and very annoying, my '12 V Strom the fan is whisper quiet which I hope the new 1000 is.

Thank you,

I spy with my little eye just one fan, on the port side behind the radiator. I've never heard it click on or run, but other than one 68-degree day all my riding has been in the cold, and while wearing earplugs anyway. And I haven't seen the temp go above 3 bars ever, yet.
