Lame Coolant Host Question

I figured out the coolant stain on the left side of my engine is a leaky hose at the thermostat from the host coming from the radiator. I kinda hate to ask this, but are there any other hoses I should replace while I take the gas tank off ?

I have an intermittent fast idle at stop lights that's not cured by 'blipping' the throttle so I'm almost hoping to see the intake slipping off the boot while I have everything apart..

thanks

I'm assuming your'e talking about the '05, @jw, it would be an ideal time to replace fuel lines while your'e in there. New hoses and clamps are cheap insurance for preventing future leaks.

Leaks in that area are generally due to the O-rings on the metal tubes that the hoses connect to. The ones under the injectors.

Check other threads on the o-ring issues of the older VEE's. I would certainly replace them whilst you need to take everything apart.

I wondered about that, too, but Im guessing now that he meant to type hose instead.

I had a small coolant leak on the left side of the bike, loose hose at the radiator. A couple cranks on the hose clamps cured that. An 04 Wee.

Thanks all for the info! Sorry about the typo - I work in IT and I guess I had 'hosts' on the mind instead of 'hose'.
