Question need to order a part but cant find it

Hello,
I am in process of rejuvenating my OLD 2008 DL 1000.
I have found every thing I needed , but one internal part for transmission which is 6th gear drive with part number 24261-06G00 is not in the market , dealership say , discontinued.
mechanic says , it need to be replaced.
what would be my options?
Thank you

I'd recommend ebay. You're bound to find a gear set on there. These engines are so reliable, I wouldn't sweat a used 6th gear part.

I found part #24261-06G00 listed at CMS, https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-dl1000-...l#.XPcaKo8RVPY

The company allowed me to put the part into the shopping cart. Europe somewhere and quoting 92.50 Euros.

Plugging the # into eBay shows availability in Japan. One month shipping time though.

I saw that too but know nothing about them. It would be best to call or email them to make sure they have the part in hand

I forgot about megazip. After I bought a used strom part that RMATV had listed as NLA I found megazip had it in a Japanese warehouse. Price was pretty good also. I need to remember to give them a try on something not super time dependent or critical. Certain things used is fine. Other parts, not so much
