Replacing intake boots on DL1000 2005

Hi all, just a short question.

Do I have room on the Vee to replace the intake boots just by lifting the "injection system" out of them or do I have to completely remove the system from the bike in order to replace the boots?

I just hope that this would be that easy...

Have a look at the diagram on any V-Strom online spares site (, item #2. The tank and air box have to come off. There are a few write-ups wrt the throttle body boots leaking, that will help explain how to access these throttle boots. Let us know the outcome and post some pix if you can.
