02 1000 W/ coolant weep hole question

I recently had the Werks clutch mod done and after putting everything back together, I have noticed that modest amount of coolant residue/evidence of coolant being expelled from the weep hole forward the water pump. My coolant level is between the low and high mark, and am not sure if this is evidence of a new water pump beinig needed or what. I had not noticed this amount of residue prior to my clutch job.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Did you replace the case seal with a new one and thoroughly clean the area? Was the issue evident before this job was done? Have you dropped your oil and checked for coolant in there?

Replaced case seal after thoroughly cleaning the case. there was slight evidence of some weeping, but wahat I would have considered to be normal. I have not dumped the oil since the clutch job, but I had put new oil in after the clutch job and have not put more than 100 miles on the bike since.

Might think about replacing #4 / #5 here:

If you have not ridden the bike much, I would ride it some and get it up to temp and keep it there a while. These seals are know for allowing a bit of coolant to bypass them. More prominent in colder weather and after the bike has sat a good while. Often it clears up. The tube is there to allow this coolant to escape and not go into the crankcase/oil sump.

If you do rebuild the water pump you MUST replace the mechanical seal as that is the coolant seal. You will want to replace the other seals, o-rings, etc.

I think that link above will get you the 3 parts you need pretty reasonably, and it will be OEM quality.

Parts 3,4, and 5 will get the job done. On really high mileage bikes I would probably replace the impeller while in there.
