Talking Finally took it for a ride

Finally got My 02 DL1000 out of the garage. Not use to riding a Vtwin or the shifting difference between this bike and my old bike. Very different. Seems like I can stay in 3rd all around town for the most part. Can't wait to go all day or on a camping trip.

Relatively few posts so you are new or reticent. no mention of location so perhaps you've been snow bound.

I had an 02 V1k. Great bike, but liked to hiccup when pulling away....nearly dropped it a few times pulling away into a turn at stoplights. But, a power commander cured it, thankfully. Back then, it seemed to be a pretty common problem, so keep it in mind. Great power wheelies tho'.
