Valve shim size?

I'm going to check my valves and I wanted to have a box of shims on hand because this is one of 4 bikes I have with shim under bucket adjustment and my local dealer is awful at having anything in stock. I see the normal thickness is 2.6mm to 2.9mm but I wanted to confirm the outside diameter is 9.48 mm and not one of the other sizes that are available (7.48, 8.90).

Thanks

Just did my 2018 1000 and all the shims I needed ran between 275-290 thickness.

I've had to use a bit smaller than that (down to 265ish) but that range sounds about right. You can probably swap shims between valves as well and only need at most a couple new ones.

Where I live, there's a shop on CL who advertises shims for sale. Won't help you, though.

Not that I wouldn't mind up a trip to your neck of BC to pick up those shims, I'll just order a box between 250 and 300.

Thanks for the help gentlemen!
