Nice. Do you install a relay with that, or just use the existing circuit ?

If you disconnect the stock horn and run a pair of wires from the bike to the FIAMM, no relay needed. I use the high tone horn on my bike. Definitely an attention-getter! More than a dozen customers have asked to hear the high tone horn and while testing in the parking lot, one can hear the echo off the strip mall.

Being slow doesn't make a boring bike. I had a R1 which I thought was boring. Boring is a bike that doesn't speak to you. If you like what your bike is saying let it's voice take you to far flung places. - Vertical C

I did as BigB suggested and installed just the horn.

Thanks, I'll order two of them, the Vstars horn is even more pathetic than the Vstrom.

The VSX 1300 horn is mounted low, down by the right side riders floorboard. It's a used bike, so I'm not sure if it's water damaged, or normal, but it's a muffled little burp sound, useless.

I have both the hi and lo note horn installed, and use a relay. One note on installation...do not mount the horn solid. ie. allow for it to vibrate a bit by using the included bracket. It is loudest when it has a little movement.

I had Fiamms, dual tone, on my BMW's. I use the horn so infrequently they would crud up and not work. I'd have to take them apart and clean them up to get a squawk out of them.
Interesting that some folks feel the need for the attention getter and others don't. In fact, I haven't used dhe horn on the Wee and don't know what it's supposed to sound like...after 8 years.
