Its worth using #1000 to help out...

...and you were so close too.

(See, I waited a week and something worthwhile came up. Impressive!)

Looks good. I think I will use three pop rivets in a triangle pattern to help prevent any splitting of the fender. I used a similar setup to replace a mudflap on my X-Terra. I cut out a piece from a crazy carpet for that one.
For those of you who do not get snow, a crazy carpet is a plastic sheet used to slide down snow covered hills. They come in several colors and you can get them for about $3
There may be lots of them available out on the west coast this year

Vey impressive! Nice job!

Nice job on the mud flaps too... I think that needs to be something I do before too long...

Thanks WW and Heavy.

This will be the next mod. Maybe I'll get it done before puddle season is over.

Heavy, thanks for sorting things out. I have to say the camera worked very well in the lighting or lack of lighting in the bat Cave. Lynda actually did the rest of it for me even being real tired after a lonnnnng day. ....Rivets would be a better idea too for the flap. Like Colin's idea with the crazy carpet, that is pretty tough material.
