Central Ont - what a season it's been

I don't recall ever being able to do 'real' 2 or 3 hour rides from March through to late November. I went on one last ride up Southwood 13 yesterday. For the last 6 weeks I've taken my boy to hockey in the morning, and then gone out riding in the afternoon. I'm glad I did not take this season off like I did last year!

As I put the bike away though I am still not 100% wild about the DL650. It's an 06 and I recently put a chain on. It has lingering pulsing/surging that I know a few others have dealt with. The bike honestly only rides smoothly over 80km/h. I will drag it in to the dealer in the spring and try again to get it fixed. They were convinced an old chain caused the jerky ride.

Don't give up on it over a minor (but irritating) problem. There are lots of cheap solutions. One that sticks in my mind is a bad throttle position sensor. I usually ride though the winter when the weather is decent. At least we get some warm days in winter this far south. Enough to keep your sanity at least. You guys up north really have it bad.
