If those are the original Russian tires, mind they don't last too long. I was using Avon SMII tires on the Beemer/Ural rig and got about 5K miles from them.
I put a car battery in the trunk of the Ural in a boat battery box. Don't know how the Gear up is appointed but some of the interior pieces available more recently would have enhanced the wife's comfort traveling in the chair. When she wasn't with me I folded the chair windshield down under the trap.
I put a Perlux lamp out on the chair step too. it had louvers so it lit the road and not shine into coming traffic badly.

Ya I found out the hard way when I had my Ural. I quickly swapped out for Heideneu and decent tubes. In terms of sidecar comfort my wife if so comforatable in it that at times she's drifted off and had a nap :-)

Oh, mine was an early import chair. The shock finally packed in and my wife was jack hammering in the seat coming down I 5 north of Sacramento.
I got a used shock from Doug Bingham of Side Strider That made the ride nice again. A progressive I think. Had no name on it but the guy that bought my rig took it to them and they said, yup, that's ours and honored the lifetime warranty and gave him a new one.
