Pretty close. I usually do the route I showed you on the way out because it is a bit more technical (if you're booting it at all). If you are not booting it it is still very pleasant with nice twisties and some elevation changes. The other route through Plevna, Ompah and the like is quite relaxing and I like it as a gentle wind down from the riding and eating. Once you hit 511 on the way back you can always go North back up to Hopetown and then through Mississippi Mills (Almonte), or head south on 511 and take 7 or other back roads home. There are several ways to skin that cat.

You wouldn't happen to have a GPX file of your first route, would ya? I'm lazy... I can recreate it if needed

I go by Plevna and the rest usually on the way back.

Have fun either route you take. Hope to ride with you later in the year.
When I load the link on my phone in google maps it doesn't follow the route. Looks like the instance of google maps on my phone wants to send me on a more efficient route by default. I need to figure out how to have it come up exactly as it does on my laptop.

Ignore the above. Man I love Scenic App. It has a WebApp version for doing exactly what I mentioned above. I simply cut and pasted your URL into the Web App and it sent the GPX to my phone automatically for importing. Took 30 seconds total and I now have it set as a favourite. Thank you! I'll using that route on the morning of.

What I like about Scenic are the offline maps. For example, I have downloaded all the relevant states for the upcoming rally in NC. The app will use very little, if any, data as a result.

Bancroft weather

Every year we get challenged by the weather forecast. Hopefully, it's acceptable for everyone and we all decide to meet for lunch.
I've just installed a new Garmin Zump 396 GPS and so have my old proven Zump 550 for sale. Complete with original wiring harness and cradles (one for the bike and one for the car). It's has been refurbished recently with all new rubber grips and buttons and digitizer screen, and the map just updated CN North America NT 2019.10 Canada and the border states.
I will bring it along and as a special deal to everyone who shows up, I'm offering it for sale for $100

If you want I can grab it from him in Bancroft. and bring it to my work (near Vaughn Mills Mall) or if it's handier I will be in Newmarket Tues eve for an MRI. You would have to sort out the payment between yourselves.

I'll be second in line for it. I'll bring cash in case the previous deal falls through

I use my iPhone XR with Scenic App, but it would be great to have a real GPS unit as a backup.
