Snow, sanding roads!

I didn't ride today, but when I left home this morning it was snowing.. not sticking to the ground or anything but quite definately, solidly snowing!

Nothing was sticking on the ground but as I headed closer to work they were sanding the roads! Dammit!

Hmm, nothing here this morning, but I guess I better take it easy on the way home. I see the forecast is calling for wet flurries soon. I'm getting used to the sand, etc; a new building is going up next to mine and trucks have been hauling excavated dirt for weeks now. I figure they're getting close to molten lava by now, the hole's so deep The road's a tad slick from all the spillage. Last night I watched for a bit, and counted more than a truckload a minute going out of here.

A late spring and an early winter with not much of a summer in between. All in all it's been a pretty poor riding season around here. I'm not putting my bike away until winter shows up to stay. I'm trying to be optomistic but it's not easy.

I was just talking to my wife and she says it has been near-whiteout conditions at home (Mount Albert, a bit east of Newmarket). She says snow is staying on the ground and on the deck!

I know there is still a lot of riding left this year but I hate to be reminded of what is coming.

Please, please keep your snow up there!

No sign of any down here near Sarnia yet but nothing but cold rain this week. Not good for riding plus I have to work out in it all day.:sad1:

I hate winter.

I was out last night for an hour or so. -5C at 120kph is brisk! Needed 2 large double-doubles to thaw out on the way home. Guess it's time to break out the electric vest. No snow yet, but there was a nice pic in this morning's paper of a tanker in the ditch due to snow on Hwy 11.

Yep, one crappy riding season. I'd be more annoyed if I couldn't ride due to weather. Arm is still broken and I missed the season (since July 7th).

I suppose if I -had- to miss a season, this was the one to miss...

Do they sell tire chains for the 'Strom?
