Ontario Ride - Sunday, October 5th

Hey All,

Sorry for the short notice but V-Tom and I are planning on getting together for a ride this Sunday. Scheme was just hatched last night so no details yet. I'll take a look at my magic route book and see what I can come up with. Meeting place will depend on the direction we head. Colours are getting pretty good up North though.

I'm working again, bahhh damn railroad !

If I win the 6/49 on Saturday I'll be out on the ride.

Have fun out there and watch out for busloads of tourists from Toronto gawking at the leaves.

I'm planning on heading that way for a ride on Saturday, heading to see the cranberry farm near Bala (http://www.cranberry.ca).

was thinking something like this

If I don't feel dead after that, then I may be on for Sunday...unless I see you guys out there on Saturday that is !!

All of the roads north of Lake Simcoe are nice roads.

I'd be willing to debate that one with you.

Watch your speed through Bala on the way to the Johnsons' Cranberry Farm. The OPP are rather vigilant there.

If you can add it to your ride, I recommend taking regional road 38 from Bala to Hwy 400/69. RR38 runs from just west of the bridge by the Kee to Bala through the Wahta Indian lands. The roads are reasonable and generally unpatrolled, and about ten kilometres of it is fun fun twisties.

Okay.. I shouldn't have said "All" of the roads.. but should have said that pretty much all the roads on his route that he selected north of Lake Simcoe are nice roads. Hwy 11 is unexciting of course, and I suspect he is aware that many people have said that Southwood is in terrible condition.

Work: that's what most of us are doing when we aren't at home or riding.
