V2 air filter from Canada's Motorcycle

Just a heads up; I finally got around to installing my Hiflo Filtro air filter in my V2. The website said guaranteed to fit lol...
Not! It's the filter for the first gen bikes. Guess we are stuck with Oem or K&N.
I emailed to tell them the site was wrong. We shall see if they correct it.

Likely still possible but the V2 uses a totally different filter.

I bought some OEM oil filters from Canada's Motorcycle. Good experience.

Nice to see some good internet MC based part suppliers popping up in Canada.

I always hated looking up a part from a Canadian dealer fiche and it says "Call for price".

Thumbs up Consider DIY

I have a 2006 Wee-Strom, and I rebuild my air filter using a filter for a compact Chevrolet. I forget the price Mrs. Suzuki wants for her air filters, but the filter I buy is under $8, including tax.

The work is straightforward: chop out the paper parts and make room for the filter you have bought, then glue your filter in and install your filter. Use plenty of glue, because airtightness matters and looks do not matter.

I have not seen the air filter for newer bikes, but if it resembles mine, the same notion should work. Take your used filter to a parts store and look at the rack of filters, and buy one with about the same size wad of paper, and hack away until it fits.

Good luck!
Keith
