Breakfast club - Calgary and region??

Hey guys - I'm quite new to this website and live in Calgary - just thought I'd throw this out there to see if there's any interest in setting up a Calgary/Alberta chapter of V-Strom breakfast club.

I'm personally not too interested in a big group ride afterwards (I prefer to ride in very small groups 2-4 max) but thought it might be fun to meet a few people and since it would be combining two of my favorite things it might be an idea that's worth investigating.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions/opinions? I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers!

Would enjoy some strom chat. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I'm going to be busy riding the bag off the strom in the coming weeks. Fernie and Flathead Lake this weekend (June 13-crap, that's Friday the 13th!) then doing it again next weekend (I'm a ride leader for the Look/Stepper homes Kids Cancer Fund charity ride, so I get to do the loop twice!). Then on June 27 I leave for Alaska - 3 weeks! But if you get something setup in the mean time, post it and I'll try to join the fun.

It sounds like a good idea, I'd be interested in showing up for that.

Take the road less-traveled, you don't have to share your smarties with as many people !!!

first ever breakfast suggestion??

Hi guys,

just thought I'd toss this idea out and see what the interest is... in case you have not already read, Duck Tape is hosting a Bragg Creek shin-dig for some of our US stromtrooper friends (GrayWolf, Tige, Coop) as they pass through on their way to Alaska -- on Sunday 06 July. (link here: https://stromtrooper.com/showthread.php?t=23577&page=10)

I was thinking we could have our first ever breakfast on "the morning after" [i.e. Monday 07 July 2008] for those people who cannot make it for the BBQ on Sunday. Of course we may have to play it by ear regarding whether our US guests can attend or not (they may want to get on the road early next day or whatever)...

In true Calgary Stampede fashion - we could show our US friends our awesome tradition of attending free public Stampede breakfasts --- There appears to be two public/free breakfasts on Monday morning (North Hill Shopping Centre and Beddington Town Centre). They are both from 9am - 11... I propose that the North Hill Shopping Centre breakfast would be more central for everyone.

I realize this is a weekday but it is Stampede week after all - Thoughts?

I just came across this forum last week and seen the post for the BBQ at brag creek but unfortunately the girlfriends b-day is on the same day so I am unable to go, but I would be interested in any other get togethers and rides it they were on the weekend. Can't blow off work as it would take me a week or two to catch up.

Hi there... I was talking with RCACS in Montana last weekend and he told me about the "VStrom" BBQ in Bragg Creek this weekend (and that I should join this forum). So I'm going to the BBQ and would also be interested in trying a breakfast ride. Regards, Vino
