Any long distance riders here?

My wife and I did our first long distance rally ( rendezvous rally in Montreal http://www.rendezvousld.org/2013/en/home. ) last year. Kind of caught the bug! Planning to try and do a few more this year.

Has anyone did any Iron Butt certified rides?

Edit your URL (I had to remove the l from .html to get it to work.)

Looks like fun, for later in the year (September sometime).

I never went for the papered rides by the iron butt folks butt, have done a lot of 1000 mile days and at least one 1375 miler in 22 hours.
It's a nice way to get distances covered, don't stop!

Garage
I'd love to try and tackle a manitoulin island and back in 24hrs, it would qualify for the IBA 1600km in 24 hrs.

Having said that I need another year under my belt before I attempted it

Coast to Coast and back home

Long distance as in per day or long trip? Went Edmonton to St. John's, to Victoria and return to Edmonton last year. Twenty one days.

long distance ride

Anyone interested in a long distance ride should try the Lake Erie Loop. It's a run around Lake Erie starting in Wellington Ohio, through Toledo Oh, Detroit Oh, across the Bridge into Canada, through Canada to Buffalo NY then back to Wellington Oh. It's done in 1 day. The best I've done is 11 hours and 686 miles. BTW the biggest bike you can ride and compete is a 200cc! I've rode a Honda CB200 and 2 Lifan 200's. On the Lifan's I've placed 1st in my class for the last 2 years. There's also a Tourist class for anyone who wants to ride a bike larger than a 200cc. It's a great time and put on by some fantastic people. Here's the link if anyone wants any more info: Home
