A little help

I know its early but I thought I'd put the feelers out now; I've got a 2007 DL650 with 126,000kms that I'm getting ready to sell. Its got SWmotech engine guards, skidplate, removeable panniers racks with lockable ammo cans, centrestand, heated grips, givi windscreen, a madstad adjustable windscreen bracket, and a Sargent seat. All service aside from chains, tires, and oil, has been done by Rick at Dualsport Plus.

Now here's my question; whats this thing worth? I'm guessing (hoping) in or around $3000.

You might get someone to buy it for that price. You could also sell off the accessories for around $1k and sell the bike for around $2k.

If you decide to sell off the accessories, I'd be interested in the engine guards, skidplate, centrestand, givi windscreen, madstad and Sargent seat, assuming they're all in decent shape.

I've got a 2010 that I haven't done anything to yet and all those things are on my wish list.

Well it is usually better to sell off most of the farkles as they add nothing if your trading in the bike ,however if your selling it yourself you can sometimes find a buyer that appreciates them and may even want them for this type of bike. You also have to consider what new bikes are selling for ,and they are not cheap if you are financing there even more expensive .... These days even bikes from the 80`s are selling for 1500 bucks or more if they are runners ...So take your time if you can ,dont just give it away...Price it a little high, see what dealers are selling used ones for ( remember they dont care about the farkles ) You can always drop the price for a prospective buyer ,makes you look good too ,like your willing to deal ...Best of luck

Sometimes making a wrong turn just makes the ride that much better ,,, go an extra mile it`s not so crowded there!

This is the time to sell!

Good luck with your sale.

What do you hope to ride if you sell your DL-650?

Right answer: A new DL-650.

Also right answer: A new DL-1000.

Wrong answer: I'm sick of Ontario weather, so I will drive a car from now on.

(I have placed some bets, so I am counting on you!)

Maybe $1500 from 80's , but not with over 120 000km. You have extras for about $800-1000. Perhaps it's a good idea to sell them separately and then ask maybe $2000 for the bike. BY THE WAY I might be interested in couple of extras.

Low milage 2007 stock (no farkles) Wee-Strom's are selling here in the $4500-$5000 U.S. range. High milage bikes like yours are going for a lot less, $1500-$2000 stock.

Take the farkles off of your bike and sell them here or on ADVrider. Then sell the bike. I really think you will do better money wise doing that. If all that is just too much for you, realize that you will get little to nothing for your farkles when you sell the bike with them on it.

I would think you could get 3k no problem.

I'd try and sell the accessories separate if you still have stock parts though. I would think you could still get 2500.

I looked all over for a V-Strom in the fall and wound up paying $4300 in newmarket with similar upgrades and 40k on it.

You don't get much of a bike for 2500.
