absentee ballot for May 4

I hope the Spring Jail-Break ride happens May 4 and not April 27. My small
and distant voice carries little weight of course, but perhaps others agree.

I hope to see most of you again, and some of you for the first of several times.

Keith

spring ride

Hey Kieth have not heard too much about the spring ride yet , still lots of snow up my way so may would probably be the best for me as well ,although I have been known to go anyway ,maybe they will let me out for the weekend

Sometimes making a wrong turn just makes the ride that much better ,,, go an extra mile it`s not so crowded there!

Heavy may provide details.

tenny80, the ride I mention generally starts at Essa Road in Barrie, and heads North, often riding the Brackenrig road to Windermere. I have attended this ride about three times, and plan to do it again this year.

I hope to bring some souvenirs of Florida, as I have in the past.
As I recall, we grow a few oranges here, so if I find some ...

Tenny80, I've gone a couple, or is it three, times on this ride. It's worth the trip. I've camped or stayed (one night) in a motel. Getting there, the ride, and then returning here is too much for one day. It was easier last year when I did it in one day riding in from the middle of nowhere, which is closer to there than here.

The riding is great, but it's worth the ride to meet some of the people on this list.

I'd prefer a date when Keith can get there. It's nice to have him come up for this - and not just for the loot (I still have and use a battery tender brought up by Keith. Thanks again!)

Oh, and Tenny80, do the Bancroft lunch too.

Cheers

For me, it's about 70 hours one way, counting necessary sleep.
I have ridden from home to Toronto in two days, but I prefer to take 3,
or maybe 4 this time because I want to ride the Delmarva Peninsula.

A friend and I expect to book a hotel in Barrie for the night before the ride,
and perhaps also for the night after the ride, but I don't know that for sure.
Perhaps you could share our accomodation -- hotels usually have cots to rent.

I will know more when the schedulers of this ride set the date.

Tenny80 heading over to barrie maybe the night before may be the best idea for you then do the ride the next day ,you should be able to make it home ok that night ..I travel down from Norhbay ,usually have to start quite early in the morning and sometimes there can still be snow on the ground up here ..I then just meet up with the group ,usually around windimere and have lunch with the group... Maybe you could hook up with another member that
would make the ride a bit better Im sure ..You dont have to do the hole ride just leave when it is best for you ,, always good to tell someone your going though,The Bangcroft ride is more of just a lunch and you are not too far from there SO get on that bike and get out there I mean if Kieth can do it Wee all should be able to tough it out a little.

Ps: Just kidding with you a bit Tenny80 come meet the group Its always good to start the year off with some new smiles ...

Can I go too!

Hi Guys,
I'm a new kid on the block, and considering joining my first ride. I live in Penetanguishene (an hour North of Barrie) and I know the Huntsville area well. Keep me posted of any plans! Is there a route already mapped out?
Thanks.
