Calgary riders

Now that I have your attention.....

Widder heated clothing was distributed in Calgary by a gal name Diana (dont know the last name), believed to live somewhere in NW.
Pretty sure she just worked out of her house as well.
The web site (www.widderca.com) doesnt work anymore. I have emailed her with no response.

Just wondered if any Cowtown riders have any info on that situ?

Cheers!

Gee, looking for heated vests soon - really noticed it was chilly through the Kananaskis pass to Longview this weekend and could have used some heated clothes in morning... Have not heard of the person/company mentioned but will ask some of my buddies who have been in Calgary longer than I.

I have a heated vest from Blackjack (sold at most Harley dealers), it is only 22 watts but that seems to be just the right amount of heat. I was only around 125.00 canadian. The only thing with that brand is it only comes to waist level. Once you sit on the bike it is nice if the vest comes down abit further and provides some heat to the kidney area. There is another brand, easily available in Canada known as "Gears". I have tried one on, very comfy and is available with a heated collar and snap-on arms. Priced very reasonable as well. I'm not sure, but they might even be made in Canada (the Blackjack is made in BC).

I purchased the "new" style Widder glove from the gal in Calgary, they are very nice and come with a rain cover for them that fits well.

I do alot of cold weather riding, so the heated grips, gloves and vest come in very handy and extend my riding season.

Cheers!

I come to calgary 2-4 times a year, and usually make sure I get that Longview/Kana ride in. I am hoping to make it out at least one more time this season.

Cheers!

I recieved email from Widder in the States. Apparently Diana is still distributing the products in Canada but is having a problem with her ISP regarding the Canadian web site.

If interested, give her a call at 239-6908 in Calgary.

You can also check out the heated items at the american home site

www.widder.com

Cheers!

ps: I have no stake in Widder whatsoever, but I have bought gloves and spoken to Diana several times on the phone. She is very willing to assist.
