Toronto Globe and Mail Article about 2007 V-Strom DL650

There is an article in the Globe and mail about the 2007 V-Strom DL650. It is a decent article that mainly focuses on ABS but overall Ted likes the Strom.

Ironically the picture shown is of a 1000.

2006 DL650: 202,000 km 125,500 miles, Sold

2015 DL1000 New July 2015 195,000+ km, 121,000 miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)

Toronto Star review of DL1000

Steve Bond reviewed the DL1000 on July 14:

He mentions the DL650 at the end. You can maybe guess how he sums up the article?

My wife doesn't like the Wee

My wife (a Harley Sportster rider) scratches her head.
She doesn't get it.

Lower, louder and shinier are better in her book.

She's 5'-6" and is a little intimidated by the Vstrom.
One of these days she'll take it for a spin and then maybe she'll get it

Being of an open mind, the other day I took a Harley Road Glide for a ride, after spending all day on my Wee (with a stock seat).

My impression:

I really liked the seat.

Sent from my Hewlett-Packard 75C, using the Flying Merkel motorcycle app.

Just read this one. What kind of special training do you need on ABS besides, "Squeeze the handle to stop, squeeze harder to stop faster"?

LOL... sat on a Road King the other day, and that was my first impression too.
Kind of like getting a "butt hug"

I have met Steve Bond and chatted with him at a bike show a cpl years ago after his first glowing review of the 650. As I have said on many occassions, I know people who know a heck of a lot more about motorcycles than me and when they all say the 650 is the better machine, why should I not listen to them
