Looking for anyone who wants to get out on the thanksgiving day weekend for a day ride up around calabogie with some K and P trail and who knows where else.

Very interested! not so sure about the k&p trail though haha.

Having said that I am a new rider, this is my first season and I just got the wee a couple weeks ago. What I mean by that is that I am a tentative and slow rider lol. If you can put up with that I would love to join you on a ride.

Hi Dave. I've been mostly absent from this list for several months, but I'm not sure anyone noticed. (grin). I missed the Bancroft lunch, could not get away. Bummer.

I could be interested depending what day we go. I have a thanksgiving dinner to go to, but don't know what day. I've moved back to Ottawa, so I'm in the area. K n P is good for me, or some other.

Tenny80, notice that Dave calls himself supernewf and not superquick. I'm not crazy-fast either, but Dave and I have ridden a bit faster than might be wise for a Strom-newbie. The trick in group riding (and we'll allow you to do this) is to ride no faster than you are happy with, no matter what the other fools are doing. It seems to have worked on all the VStrom rides I've been on - with only a couple minor unplanned excursions through the bush. I'm happy to spend time going slower and enjoying the ride (for much of the ride anyway). I recently got a not-so-nice 3-point speeding ticket while passing a few cars, so am riding slower in any case.

Hope we get out and ride!

All right. My Thanksgiving dinner is on the Sunday, so I'll be free Saturday or Monday. Back to you Dave.

Well I'd love, but I will be working Saturday and Sunday. If the ride is on the Monday, I will definitely join.

I can be at the Carp Road Timmies for 9 ish. Maybe we should pick a spot to meet with tenny80 rather than have him come all the way up from Kingston to start the ride (unless he wants to). Maybe we can meet him later in Perth or Griffith or such and continue from there. Tenny80, you tell us.

I did 300+ Kms from Ottawa to past Griffiths, and back, today - a nice ride in fine riding weather. Should be a good ride Saturday.

srpkcop, too bad you can't come along Saturday. These are nice roads on the VStrom or similar.

I don't think I'm going to be able to go with you guys. A friend of mine has been asking me to check out the calabogie area and he wants to go saturday. we will likely be in calabogie around noon but I am not sure exactly when or what route he wants to do.

I have an 05 wee, silver and he will be on a blue ninja 500 so if you see us give a wave I'll meet up with you guys for the next ride for sure!
