Well, there is the CDN - US exchange to consider. I mean, that CDN$300.00 is only worth about US$280.00, at today's rates.

I bought a used 2006 15-hp Mercury outboard a week or so ago for $2000 USD (shipping included) and even with the exchange rate premium charged by Visa my total was only $2158 CDN.

Well I will have to see what rate Visa charges me... but if its remotly close to what its supposed to be I will still get the seat for under 200 or just over.... Its too bad they wont even try to make a deal... I would prefer to order local... In any event Heavy thank you very much for the link!

If you order from Oneida, you will likely incur significant shipping and brokerage fees. By the time you add in the exchange and taxes, you are not too much further ahead. I believe my Suzuki Gel Seat from Oneida ended up around $270 CDN after starting at about $142 US. This was about a year ago. The exchange is a little better now I think.

Ya, the shopping is great. Unfortunately, our company sells about 90% of our product to the States. This new, very strong, Canadian dollar is killing us.

With today's exchange rates the US$141.99 equals about CDN$145.14.

I would hope you wouldn't get dinged $125.00 for shipping and brokerage. Regardless, see if they will ship USPS. That should save the majority of the brokerage fees at least.

The other option, if you're not too far from the border, is to find a location in the States you can have it shipped and then go pick it up.
