Made it to Vancouver.
I did manage to get to the top of my mountain thanks to the very tremendous hospitality of the Canadian Mountain Holidays crew at the Caribou lodge. They went way beyond nice to make my trip to my dads final resting place a complete sucess..
The Wee was lots of fun while travelling up and down the logging road to the lodge. I did manage however to spend an hour or so, in 30 degree celsius heat, getting a fully loaded Wee back on its feet. F***ng sand! And it happened only about 1/2 Km from pavement as I was leaving. (picture to follow)
There is a really nice quiet little road from Little Fort to just near 100 mile house I would recomend. The camping at Bridge Lake, about halfway, is very nice.
The road from Lillouete(spelling?) to Pemberton has been worth the trip by itself. Definitely a road built for bikes. After getting past a parade of slow moving motorhomes I had the road almost to myself.
The road is a a bit rough in spots but even so I managed to get going as fast as I was comfortable with. (and a little bit faster on occasion.) Eee Haww
The Strom has been a dream to be travelling on. I have done a couple of 700Km days and have been quite comfortable. Well except for a bit of rush hour in downtown Van. But that is another story.
Right now I am in Vancouver having a very nice visit with my very pregnant eldest daughter and chilling out..
I have a bunch of pictures but the editing software on my daughters computer will not let me resize and 3024X2016 is just too big.
