Greetings from Milton, ON

Hello everyone,

After a 34 year hiatus from riding motorcycles (Kawasaki 100 cc enduro bike) I've re-entered the sport and purchased a super-clean 2009 wee-strom. Took a 3 day riding course to get re-oriented and have put over 1,000 kms on the bike over the past couple of weeks and absolutely love it!
I installed SW Motech crash bars and bash plate because I'm hoping to do some touring offroad in due course, but not until I've gotten used to the not-so-wee strom - this pig is heavy!
I've already 'laid the bike down' in the driveway when I dismounted and discovered that the kickstand wasn't fully extended - luckily those crash bars saved the fairing! (....I'll be practicing using my new tire puncture kit on the tires of any neighbors who witnessed and scoffed at that inglorious drop!)

Slainte!

Welcome. I too returned to motorcycling three years ago with the Wee after a long hiatus. A Wee bit top heavy this bike, but you do (mostly) become accustomed to it. Dropping it in the driveway is part of the initiation, btw. So feel good about it. Mine's only been dropped about five times, never at more than a fast walking pace, three of those times in soft sand which doesn't really count.

My duct-taped left front turn signal (there since the first drop) is worn with honour.

Enjoy

Welcome to a plethora of information about your new ride here at the Stromtrooper.com site. I am from Cambridge and ride out that way often as you do have some fun roads in your area. Enjoy!
