Red Strom in Newmarket area Turning onto Greenlane this AM?

Hi all,

I took my Strom to work this morning.

At about 8 am I saw a red Strom turn onto Greenlane (which is just north of Newmarket) heading East. I think they were turning from Leslie but it might have been one of the streets east or west of that. I was on my Blue Strom with a Givi 52 liter on the back.

Was that any of you?

Hi TJ,

I live in Mount Albert but work at Pfaff Porsche in Woodbridge near 400 and 407/hwy 7 area..

(For those not familiar with the area Mount Albert is a little village about 20 km east/north east of Newmarket Ontario and Woodbridge is just north of the West side of Toronto.)

We'll find him yet!

highway 48 near the road to Pefferlaw

Went to Wilberforce today (via 507 which isn't quite as thrilling after yesterdays Southwood run!!!!).

On the way back I saw a V-Strom sitting on the street in Coboconk. I met him.. he is someone about to retire that has had the 2005 V-Strom 650 for a year and a half. He got rid of a Goldwing and loves the Strom. He doens't yet do email or computer stuff so hard to tell him about this board.

A little later on the run, on highway 48 around the road to Pefferlaw (Pefferlaw road?) I saw another V-Strom heading eastbound.

I was at a conference at the Hilton at the corner of Warden & Hwy 7 from Thursday afternoon 'til noon today (Saturday). Did some local riding on my breaks. Could have been me if it was blue, triple luggage, tank bag, yellow jacket.

Like this, minus the sheepskin:

Not sure of colour.

V-Tom,

I surely enjoyed that ride, and the conversation and dinner at Haugen's.

It was my impression that the westbound Strom was black, but it may have been another colour.

You on your blue Wee-Strom were ahead of me on my red one. We were both carrying boxes on our luggage racks, and neither of us had saddlebags.

Your jacket is light grey, and mine is mostly purple with some orange and green accents (rather poor camouflage, eh?). My helmet is red.

pbeens, perhaps the above description resembles the two eastbound bikes you saw.

Sat ride

Took a scenic tour to take in the 4 cruise ships in port, and a trip around Stanley Park, over the Lion's Gate and Iron Workers Memorial Bridge and home 42 kms in all.

Met two V-Stroms, one blue, the other charcoal approx 1pm on Powell St.

Photo shows 2 of the 4 ships The Diamond Princess and Noordam May 12th 2007, docked in Vancouver.

Took a ride around Lambton County in Ontario last Sunday to post flyers for my plant sale. Kayakman and I had parked our Wees at the curb on Main St in Forest when another Wee stopped and parked with us. He was from Sarnia and really excited to see some more VStrom riders and we talked bikes and accessories for a while.

Then today, Kayakman saw a silver VStrom headed west on Hamilton St in Brights Grove with a young man aboard.

Ya Dave...that was me.

I was on my way to work at about 1345h...

I had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago and can finally ride again. Oh well, the down-time gave me a chance to farkle my new ride.

The yellow helmet is a holdover from my just-sold SV650S. I decided to keep it so that I'd be more conspicuous to cage drivers.

See ya,

Dave

Tuesday 2:30 p.m.

Saw a blue Strom on Convair Drive in Mississauga (right where Air France went off the runway in 2005...).
