Non-Strom Related Question

so, with all the hype about canadian pharmacies being so much cheaper than ours in the lower section of north america, i'm wondering if it is true and if i can simply walk in to a local pharmacy and buy medication. nothing funky or narcotic, just high blood pressure meds. if not, would they accept a prescription from a US doctor?

My spam box is filled with Canadian med offers...mostly Viagra. Have you checked Costco?
Friend told me meds was cheaper there than other places. My Ins tells me where to buy and Effient has no generic so what I pay is reasonable according to them. I have Blue Cross and they use the CVS Caremark mail order.

I don't think you can walk in and buy drugs without a prescription, but I have never tried. As far as using a US doctor's prescription, perhaps contacting one or more of the bigger drug stores directly would be best.

In Alberta, Pharmacists can prescribe and dispense non-narcotics themselves.

So, for example, if you feel you need antibiotics for something you can talk to the Pharmacist and they can fulfill end to end themselves if appropriate.

But I am also 99% sure you can bring in a US doctor prescription and get it filled. Maybe not for Oxycontin, but for something basic yes.
