Greater Vancouver Dealer

I'm looking for a dealership in the Vancouver area that does great service. I've purchased a new Wee from outside the area and want to know the best place for mechanical work. Can anyone recommend a good place/mechanic?

Worked at this shop as a teenager in the 70's, it's still in the same location, same owner, selling Suzuki since the 60's. Always famous for having a parts department that always stocked parts, extremely jammed packed shop, truly unique, with dyno and hoardes of classic bikes etc. Were familiar with the Yosh box use on Suzuki fuel injection problems for the DL1000's quirks etc. Owner is Murray Neibel and his son Aaron now plays a huge role in running the shop. Truly a rider's shop and the opposite of the mega sized box stores.

It's not a segment bargain, it's just a great bike.

Thumbs up

North Shore Suzuki are a good bunch. I let them work on mine.

I don't take it to the dealer where I bought it (which shall remain un-named, but it's in Whalley) b/c of the mechanic's poor attitude. He might be a good mechanic, but he's not getting any of my business.

Had pleasant dealings with Modern as well.

Heard good things about both places as well. Am going over to Van. on Tuesday and will be stopping in at Modern to check them out.

Thanks all for the replies. I was hoping someone would recommend Modern. They are the closest to me.

I get my wee serviced at Modern too, just picked it up today from it's spring oil change, new chain/sprocket and another welding of that freaking givi crashbar. hope this is the last time that's needed!

Anyhow, they'll look after you well there and I've had no complaints with them.

Tell Aaron Al said hi.

It was a perfect day today for a ride! A riding buddy and I took the leisurely route via Ave 0 out to Abbotsford and then over to Mission out around the Stave Lake dam and then home via the Albion ferry and the #1. Had a great ride up until I hit some chunk of metal that fell off a car/truck on the Port Mann. Thankfully no damage other than scaring the heck out of me.

Sunday was gorgeous for riding. BC Bruce & I got together and took a quick trip around Belcarra and Port Moody. Glad to hear that you & your bike didn't get hurt by flying metal. Has your heart stopped racing, yet?

Yup, I calmed down shortly afterwards when I realized the rear tire was still inflated and round(I rode directly over it and the back end was air borne for a moment)

I was more concerned about finding a safe place to pull over and inspect the bike for damage, thankfully none at all.
