Strange sound

Hey all
Have had this strange sound on full lock to the left.
Hollow type of sound, thought it was the steering lock.
Maybe Vstroms had a rubber on them and one fell off, NO
Couldn't work it out till today.
Added mirror extenders and the mirror was hiting the screen.
Double derr on me

Harry

That SOUNDS familiar. On my WEE with aftermarket screen the mirrors would bang on the screen also.

Let this be a lesson for us all.
After installing any new item, check various things like steering movement, throttle return, brake lever/pedal/ light, before hitting the road. Sometimes it might be something that will have bad consequences.
Glad you got it sorted with no issues.

I don't want a pickle, I just want to ride my motorsickle. A. Guthrie.

Hey Harry,

I have the standard screen, albeit with spacers and longer screws to move the screen out. I'm stoked with the difference it's made with air turbulence, however have always considered mirror extenders.

I guess I will catch you at Glouster in a few weeks and we can chat about the benefits of the mirror extenders.

If buffeting concerns you try some "Aprillia" mirrors. I tried the extenders first, then the mirrors, better still, but for comfortable touring nothing beats that Givi Airflow screen.
