I thought of doing the same with all my wife's virtually unused gear (actually some is unused) plus my Joe Rocket leathers I've never worn - and I mean that literally. I bought them from a catalogue and when they arrived they were too small.

I tried the buy your bike thing on Motorcycle Accessories website but they made a low-ball offer of $2500 for the XJR1300. I'm not that keen to sell it - it has 30,500km on the clock.

I was very reluctant to take $3,500 for my Strom too but I really wasn't getting much interest over $4K and some stupid offers of under 2.5 and were promptly told to go jump. I relented when a young Brazilian chap was so keen on the bike but 3.5K was his absolute limit.

Most people want a bargain but unfortunately bike buyers want a steal.

Cheers

I suggest you all keep an eye on the bushfires in the area for possible road closures mainly due to smoke.
There were some serious flare ups yesterday and they expect more today due to heat and wind.
We are away from the area atm but are heading back to Port Macquarie this morning as one fire came close to our home early last night.
First report indicated our street was gone but that was overreaction.
One property 100 metres away lost sheds and got a bit scorched and quite a few spot fires around but they were able to get it under control.
Current forecast for Gloucester is hot with possible smoke haze today then cooling down for tomorrow and Sunday.

Hi Troopers
Bike is packed and on the launchpad, Rolex and I will be on the ways soon, picking up Gleeful on the way.
Warm one today, keep hydrated, If we get in early might give the Gloucester pool a go!.
Staying at the Roundabout hotel, looking forward to a beer and a catch up.
See you soon.
Cheers Brucestrom

Fires out of control around Port Macquarie and the Oxley Highway up the Hastings Valley.
Pacific and Oxley highways currently closed in places.

I just spent half the night at Port donut Maccas due to the fires around home.
I got talking to the RMS supervisor for the eastern end of the Oxley highway and it is currently closed at the bottom end of the mountain due to fires and fallen trees.
He had his own work car flattened by one and they had to bail on the clean up for their own safety.
Massive fire and property loss around the Pacific highway south of Taree as well and not sure whether it is still closed.
Also fires still an issue around Forster.

Download the Fires Near Me app to keep track of all fires in NSW (and currently showing the lower half of Queensland as well)

You can also set it to give alerts to situations that may be in close proximity or relevant to your area settings.

Stay safe and have a great weekend everyone... I'm working tomorrow, so not attending this year.
