So with summer almost upon us :frown2: we decided as an early xmas present we would get some mesh jackets. As we have had our current jackets for 4 years and they have performed faultlessly we decided the only way to go was back to Klim....yes there will be some of U saying holy ****, all that money but we tried made to order from a reputable Aust. company and they were rubbish compared to the Klim we currently wear.
We have come to the conclusion and it it took us awhile & a shed load of cash that the catch phrase "Poor man pays twice" is very true.
Any way we bought these today

& for the ladies

Will post a report once we have tried them.
The team at Adventure Moto were great to deal with.

Cheers

Your summer, our winter. Too bad I can't travel there to enjoy the best of both worlds!
I had found some content with a Vented Hein Gericke jacket in the California/Arizona desert area.
Gotta remember to stay hydrated when wearing vented clothes because you lose moisture more quickly.
Using a wet vest under one and you could freeze on a hot day.:wink2:

Hey notacop yes staying hydrated is important and we wear one of these

We do stop regularly but find taking on water only at stops isn't enough & the back pack style bladders uncomfortable, this CamelBak has been great, hardly even notice you are wearing it

Highwayman2016 forecast temp here today is 35C (95F) and summer isn't quite here yet :frown2::furious:

Cheers

V2, congrats on your moto-apparel purchases. Ive heard from riding friends nothing but good about Klim.
I have a lot of Olympia(4 sets or more) that I bought in '06, lot of miles...and still as-new. I'm not saying they are the same quality as Aerostitch or Klim, but for my purposes I cant complain about the cost/wear factor about Oly.
But...I'll be at my local BMW dealer looking at Klim soon.

Good stuff hugh when you compare the prices they are not that more expensive then some of the other gear that is around and i have looked at them for my self am only waiting to get the christmas and holiday period over to go and get some myself. Have you looked at the badlands jacket that was the one that interested me the most was thinking great not having to lug the rain gear around. Enjoy

I have Joe Rocket Sonic jacket which I just love

It has quality construction, doesn’t feel too bulky or heavy. I bought it from Motorcycler.com . I am very particular about the fit and it worked well for me as they have a 30 day return policy. Additionally I got $15 cash back to use towards my next purchase.

G'day All,

Just had the weekend away so thought an update was in order.
Forgot to mention we also bought some of these when we bought the Jackets

Well Saturday saw us complete about 400 Klm's with the temp getting to 37C.
At no time did we feel too hot and there was no sweating under our jackets or jeans.
Arrived at our destination feeling hot but not drained of energy or feeling fatigued.
We did wear our small bum bag Camelbacks but would have worn them with our other jackets with the temp up that high.
As a litmus test I did not wear the 3/4 leggings on Sunday & I was uncomfortable all day, very similar day with the max temp being 38C.
But under my jeans my legs were cooking and I was sweating under the knee amour which did not happen on the Saturday.
Overall we are very happy with our purchase and having the gear perform as per its design was brilliant. :yesnod:

Cheers V2man & GotaV2
