Australian DL1000 recall

Suzuki Australia has issued a recall as at December 18 concerning possible corrosion on certain electrical connectors and impending fraying and subsequent failure of improperly routed wiring loom under the tank

Suzuki Australia?Suzuki DL1000 Motorcycle

we have heard of these problems but I think our climate has possibly saved us from it happening in most cases

It would be nice to know what exact spots on wiring loom (connectors, routes...) are they talking about. Maybe it's about wires bellow the tank. If there's something else, it'd be nice to know.
I doubt it's about front non-waterproof connectors, as this TSB is refering to L4, L5 and L6 models and new waterproof connectors were installed in the loom somewhere during L5 model production.

Mine is a 3/15 compliance but I have no idea what the L2 etc is. Will have to ring the dealer tomorrow and see what they say.

Wonder why it only affects Australian models? Perhaps the other countries consumer legislations don't have the same teeth as ours. Cannot see the engines being built differently for here.

Coops.

L is the designation for 2010 and on. 2000 models where K. 2020 models will be M.

So

2010 - L0
2011 - L1
2012 - L2

Etc...
