V-Strom Essentials

There are few farkles that just about everybody can benefit from. We have been making some of these parts for over ten years now. They have been tried and proven by thousands of V-Strom owners.

All our original Adventuretech designs come with a Happiness Guarantee! We want you to be happy! No restocking fee!

Tired of looking at your shoulders? Mirror extenders

Larger Bolt-on side stand foot - a simple inexpensive install and forget solution.

Fork Brace - Just get it!

Knees cramped - We invented this kit and it is wonderful. So wonderful it has been copied on every continent (except maybe antarctica) . - Foot peg and control lowering kit.

Not enough room for your boot under the shifter? We have two solutions for that as well. Instead of lengthening the shifter, our kits give you a range of positions that relocate the shifter mounting point forward. This gives the same effect as a longer shifter, but with options to make sure you have just the right amount of extra room.

Gear Shift Relocation Kit

Well, I can say it's all good stuff. I have the fork brace, peg/shifter relocation kit, kickstand foot and the GPS mount over the dash with the ram ball mount. I would buy it all over again.

My size 14 feet really like the added room of the adjustable shifter. I put gl1800 foot pegs on too. My toes drag a bit now on tight curvy roads, but I can lean in enough for a brisk pace. It's worth it though, my knees are in a more comfortable position now.

I have everything listed above (except the fork brace - since it is not needed for the Vee2). All fantastic equipment!

One question though... In adjusting the controls position on the brake side for my giant boots, the hydraulics and the brake light switch are a little out of sync. I.e. the brake light comes on way before the hydraulics apply any stopping force. I tried bending the adapter clip out and back to make it a little longer, but I'm concerned that repeated bending will weaken it (or cause it to break). Plus, opening up the length of the loop will leave a gap in the center (potential for falling off?).

What is that little wire brake light switch extender clip made from? Can I source it locally? I though about trying any old wire I can get my hands on...but if you have info as to what is stiff enough to prevent deformation during use as well as what type of surface treatment may have been involved to prevent corrosion, it would be appreciated.

It is made of stainless steel.

There is an adjustment on your brake light switch you might want to consider. Just follow the spring up and you will see it. Be careful though, adjusting can be counterintuitive because it is upside down.

Another thing to think about is that people pay good money for smart modules that sense when you let off the throttle and apply teh brake light switch before the brake engages. This gives cars following you a little more warning and reaction time. Something to think about.

LED lights for 2014 VStrom- Great Product

I just installed the LED light kit with the bracket and the wiring harness. The install was relatively painless. The wiring harness was a work of art; everything was well insulated and laid out well. I just followed Rick's video and used the electrical 101 post. The lights are fantastic and it illuminates so much more than the headlights. I did go with one spot and one flood light. I am very happy with the set up.

I picked up the mirror extenders, fork brace, peg lowering kit and sidestand foot, all fantastic products! With the pegs relocated and a Sargent seat, it feels like a different, super comfortable, bike compared to last season. Highly recommend to anyone starting out on the Wee-venture.

Likewise (or is it light-wise??), I went with the combination spot and flood approach. Had install problems but when contacting Rick he was Johnny on the spot and resolved my issues pronto. Very, very happy with this product and the service received.
