Doug: My wife wants me to change out the rear pegs of my wee with ones with more surface area. I see you did yours with GW 1500? Have any pics of them so I can compare with ones from Ebay? Thanks.

Doug, did you wire your top box? I'm in the process of installing the 929. Were there any surprises in the wiring if you did. My bike has the back off for the brake lights and the connector from Eastern Beaver. Not being an electrical wrench I'd appreciate if you remember what wire went where from the box to the brake/tail light connector.

Nope..........won't hear of it. Todd and I are sending out 3-4 shirts to fellers that could not make the Rally at the last minute, even tho they had hoped to. Story Teller, yourself, Bill Clelland, and 1-2 more that had health issues of themselves, or loved ones, that prevented them from coming. I'll take a "hand shake" as payment when we do meet someday!!

The Firehose pants, I love those suckers. Yes, I have been caught in the rain in my Firehose pants but I pull over and put on my rain gear as soon as I can. They are advertised as water resistant and mine kept me dry for the short time that it took me to find a place to safely add my rain gear. I wouldn't expect them to hold up as a rain pant though really. I think I would get wet through them in a downpour. For rain protection when riding I rely on Frogg Togg rain gear.

Where are you from? I was raised in the Ozarks. My people are out of Stone County, Missouri and I lived in Springfield, MO during most of my school years. I still have a lot of family in the Springfield area although I haven't lived there since 1970.

It occurs to me as I read my post I was very probably unclear. I was specifically curious about the Duluth Trading Company Firehose Work Pants you mentioned.

Have you ever ended up in rain while wearing those pants? And if so were they actually pretty water resistant / proof for any length of time? I have separate armored undergarments and would wear them more if I had a regular pants style that could withstand those sudden 5 - 10 minutes unexpected rains so common in the midwest and Ozark mountains.

    Any advice would be helpful.

May I ask if you have you worn these in the rain? My thought is that at a minimum they are pretty water resistant for maybe an hour or so? Any 1st hand knowledge would be helpful.
