The cache was passed to me last Thurs. before an around Mt Rainier ride. I'm looking for someone to take the next pass.
This Thurs. or Fri. are open as of now or any day next week other than Thurs. 2+ hours away meet up is not a problem. Post and PM me if your interested.

Lets get this thing moving.

Don

P.S.- For those Canadians interested, I'm willing to fight the I-5 bridge detour to meet up north.

If no one gets it sooner, I'll set something up to get it from you for next week/weekend. I'm going for a ride over to Hoodsport and Lake Cushman tomorrow but I don't have a time table so it would be too hard to coordinate a meet.

Ron-I can't believe that no one has showed interest. Come on folks, even if I pass it to Ron he will still need to have a NW Strommer to pass to. Summers here and this is a great excuse to ride.

Ron, I'll be gone on the weekend, but available most days next week. Tues. is "Bike Night" at Cycle Gear(Auburn 6-8) and would work to.

Sorry but here comes a newbie question; What is the Cache? Like a baton? I am looking to meet some V-strom riders. I am hoping to get out next weekend and explore some. This weekend unfortunately is full with a family trip.
Peace all, and keep the rubber to the road.

Would love to join in, but feel it needs to move further down the road then I'm able at this time. I'll be watching if it comes back into PDX area again. Riding the Western States 1000 this Saturday, but don't know where we're headed until check in. :fineprint:

I would love to get my hands on this thing BUT when it flew through the local area on one wheel jumping through a hoop of fire I was not able to ride.

I think this needs to find its way to Canada or it needs to make a trip to Spokane, Boise Salt Lake City. Get headed east. if it does make it back to Oregon I know there atre a few guys here that would like to ride it around a bit.

We did a group ride so I was at the last exchange, that is the reason I am holding back till the last minute to let someone else be a part of this.

I have been itching for an excuse to ride my strom down to mom's house in Oregon so if I do get this from Don, Oregon riders might get another crack at it.

Why not. It's ok if we keep it in the upper left corner for a few more weeks. I suspect it will make it to eastern Canada and then south this summer so it could be a long time before it is around here again. Blake

I'd be interested in taking it next. I'm new to the strom, literally just had my 600 tune-up today and would enjoy getting out and meeting some of you guys.

If you don't find someone, I'm happy to take a few days off to keep it moving. Positive note: wife thinks it's cool and says I should. :)

Could be short notice...or long

Will be picking the cache up this Friday but with graduations the weekend of the 15th I'll either have to make a run to pass it off on Saturday or have to hold it until the 20th, 21st or 22nd.

If the 250 mile run on Friday doesn't wipe me out, will be looking to ride down to Sweet Home OR on Saturday (June 8th). If I do it, it will be an early departure to arrive there around noon to 1:00 p.m. with a possible detour through Stayton.

Will pretty much be an I-5 trip down and back.

Who ever is interested let me know, just understand that I may have to put it off until after the above mentioned graduation weekend.

As an alternative, I could probably make a run to Mt St Helens if I decide that a 500+ mile day is too much after a 250 mile day (I'm a new rider still working on my endurance in the saddle)

Let me know. Im going to start planning for a meet up maybe in the Willsonville area? right off the 5.

If your going to pospone then I will have to see what it looks like closer to when your going to be in the portland-salem area again.

I will be in Portland/Vancouver on Saturday and Sunday the 8th and 9th. I will be riding back to Albany down I5 on Sunday afternoon if anyone wants to pass it along. If it doesn't work out this weekend. I could shoot down on Monday thru Wednesday for a quick trip. Let me know.

I'll be wandering up the coast from Eugene to Hyder, Ak. next week, June 10 - 27.
I've already carried the Cache, but would be happy to help anyone make connections. It's a great way to meet-N-greet fellow Strommers!
I'll be going through BC, and back down via North Dakota....

Plan is to meet with RPatton tomarrow somewhere along his rout at some time.

Planning on meeting somewhere between Stayon and Portland along the I-5 corridor and then escort him back to at least the Clark County fairgrounds.

i will be leaving my place and heading out 211 for the meet up about 5 pm, Anyone want to ride along or meet up along?

RR

The idea is to leave my house about 5 for a rendezvous in Willsoneville at 6. then up i-5 as escort till each decides to peel of and head for the barn.

if you want to drop by my place and put hwy 211 under you through Canby and Aurora Cool, if not Starbucks at Willsonville rd is the 6pm meet as of right now.

As of right now I am not solid on the meet. But that doesnt mean that this cant be a short notice ride. If we cant make the connection then we could do any number of rides. unless you or Rod have a curfew. :yikes:
